
I love how Max’s name is the same was it was in the Japanese. (Well, sort of — Matsuno, nicknamed ‘Max’…)

And fixed. Turned out it was an issue with Desmume’s renderer. Changed it to OpenGL and now the text is displaying properly. (Hopefully it won’t affect rendering during matches, though. We’ll see.)
I am just going to weep at the english Inazuma Eleven DS opening and remember this instead.
